🤖 From Prompting to Workflow: The Next Step for Newsrooms
Most journalists using AI still work like this:

Useful, yes. But increasingly, AI tools can do something more interesting: follow a repeatable reporting process.

Think of it like this:

- what needs to be checked
- how evidence should be cited
- what counts as a contradiction or red flag

It can use connected tools and sources to carry out the workflow.
So instead of prompting:
Summarise today's council documents.you could build a process more like:
Check the approved council sources.
Identify only genuinely new developments.
For every important finding, preserve the source link, page number or document reference.
Compare new claims with previous statements where relevant.
Separate confirmed facts, allegations and inference.
Flag contradictions and unanswered questions.
